Bandwidth / Transfer / Hits
You have either allocated or unlimited bandwidth on your shared hosting package. Any outbound traffic from your web site is considered data transfer. FTP uploads do not count as data transfer. Each time a html file, graphic file or any other element on your web page is loaded, data transfer is generated.

Disk Storage
Disk storage refers to the amount of server disk storage your account is allocated. This space is used to store your html files, graphics, audio/video files and all other files that make up your web site. Your POP3 emails are not stored in this space. You are allotted an extra 10 MB of space for your mail spool. Should you require additional space for your content you will need to upgrade your account to the next shared package.

Domain Name Registration
E-Market Media gives you the ability to register your new domain name. You are able to register your domain for up to 10 years at a time for discounts on the yearly fee.

Static IP Address
Every hosting account is configured with a static IP address. This means that you are given a unique set of numbers (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx) specifically assigned to your web space. This allows you to access your web site via a web browser or development tool regardless of the status of your domain name. Having your own IP address also gives you the opportunity of publishing your web site to your new web space before actually transferring your domain name to our DNS. This results in no down time when transferring your web site from a another hosting company.

Email Features

POP3 Email Accounts
Each of our shared hosting packages comes with unlimited POP3 email accounts in addition to email forwards and aliases. You have the option to retrieve email directly from POP3 mailboxes on the mail server using an email program such as Eudora, Outlook or Outlook Express.

IMail 8.xx
IMail is the industry leader in Windows-based mail systems allowing for easy web-based administration of your POP3 accounts. In addition, each user can change individual passwords, finger plans, and vacation messages via the Web. This allows you to setup forwarding, auto-responders, and other important e-mail options at any time.

Email Autoresponders
An autoresponder is a pre-determined message with information you want automatically sent to anyone who emails a designated email address/mailbox at your domain.

Mail Lists
You can create multiple mail lists based on your customer's interests. You provide customers an email address they can send an email to and be added to your personalized mailing list. As soon as customers sign on they are sent a friendly welcome message. This is a great way to cost effectively communicate with your customers through monthly newsletters, sales updates or just a friendly hello. Each list can hold 1000 names and a 75kb message can be emailed to all the lists you create.

ASPQMail
AspQMail works just like AspMail except that messages are queued up for delivery using the AspMail component. A companion Windows 2003 service is notified when messages are added to the queue and attempts delivery while your ASP script is freed from the delay of delivering the message.

You are given administrator permissions to your web site allowing you to create and delete sub-webs on your own. (ie: www.domain.com/company1) Each sub-web can have its own home page. This is very useful if you would like to organize your web site into different sections or you would like to have multiple web sites within your main site. There is no limit to how many sub-webs you can have as long as you stay within your designated hosting plan's storage and bandwidth guidelines.

FoxPro is a popular database that can be deployed on any Windows 2003 server for high-end database functionality.

Microsoft SQL
Microsoft SQL server is capable of supporting even the most demanding web applications. Microsoft SQL Server is a robust enterprise-caliber relational database server that is designed for enterprise databases. It is similar to and competes with Oracle and Informix.

MS Index Server
Microsoft Index Server is a full-text indexing and search engine for Internet Information Server. It allows any Web browser to search documents for key words, phrases, or properties.

MDAC 2.8
With MDAC, you can access and use data from various relational and non-relational data sources. The MDAC component includes ActiveX Data Objects, OLE database, and Open Database Connectivity (ODBC). You can connect to databases through providers and drivers that are either built and shipped by Microsoft, or with those developed by third parties.

ODBC.NET
The ODBC.NET Data Provider is a native component to the .NET Framework version 1.1. This component provides access to native ODBC drivers in the same way that the OLE DB .NET Data Provider provides access to native OLE DB providers. Remote SQL Database Management via SQL Clients

Data Source Names (DSN)
We setup an ODBC System DSN (data source name) which points to a Microsoft Access database file within your site. The database file is placed in a data directory outside of the content directory for security purposes.

Active Server Pages
ASP (Active Server Pages) is enabled on all of our shared Windows 2000 web servers. ASP can be used to create, complex, consumer oriented web applications such as shopping carts and personnel oriented databases. This is usually accomplished in conjunction with MS Access and MS SQL Server.

XML Parser 3.0
In XML you can define an unlimited set of tags. While HTML tags can be used to display a word in bold or italic, XML provides a framework for tagging structured data. An XML element can declare its associated data to be a retail price, a sales tax, a book title, the amount of precipitation, or any other desired data element. As XML tags are adopted throughout an organization's intranet, and by others across the Internet, there will be a corresponding ability to search for and manipulate data regardless of the applications within which it is found. XML support, JScript
XML is subset of the Standard Generalized Markup Language (SGML) defined in ISO standard 8879:1986 that is designed to make it easy to interchange structured documents over the Internet. XML restricts the use of SGML constructs to ensure that fall back options are available when access to certain components of the document is not currently possible over the Internet. CGI-Bin / Perl
We install 4 ready-to-use scripts in every Windows 2003 domain - a countdown script, a sample order form, a form to mail processor to take orders and other transactions online and a visitor guestbook. Any other cgi-script can be installed in our cgi-bin should you so choose.
Perl for Win32 is ActivePerl's port of most of the functionality found in Perl, with the addition of extra Win32 API specific calls that allow you to take advantage of Windows specific functionality.

Website Management

FTP File Transfer
Protocol or the method used to "upload" your web site files to storage space on our network. You have unlimited access to your domain via FTP 24 hours a day to setup, change and manipulate your web site. E-Market Media's network is compatible with any FTP client you choose to use.

Anonymous FTP
Capability of setting up a public area where anonymous users can upload and download files from your web server.

Website Monitoring

Daily Backups
We do daily backups of your sites data and your email spool file. In the event you lose or corrupt any of your data you may request a restore from our technical support department.

Site List With 100 Search Engines
We automatically list your site with the top 100 search engines by your sites keywords, title and meta tags.

Downloadable Raw Access Logs
These are the text logs showing every hit to your site and what the user downloaded, accessed or viewed. For statistical analysis you can download these to compile on your local machine in programs like LiveStats or other site analysis programs.

Graphical Referrer Logs
This is an extended logging feature that documents where each visitor to your site came from. You will know if they found you through a search engine or a web site link. It will show you the search engines users queried and what keywords or sentences they typed in to find your web site. This is invaluable information when trying to determine if marketing campaigns are paying off.

LiveStats Site Statistics
All Windows-based shared hosting accounts come with LiveStats with Referrer Logs. LiveStats will analyze the log file of a web server and will create a comprehensive summary report from the information gathered.

Hardware and Network

Server Hardware
Each shared server is Dual 1.8 GHz P4 Xeon with 1000 MB + of RAM. Our servers are custom built to our needs and spare parts are kept in inventory in case of hardware failure. We keep 10 pre-built machines in inventory at all times ensuring that if the entire server fails we can swap the hard disk into another server and have it back online within 5-10 minutes.

Each of our servers runs Windows 2003 with IIS 6.0.

Network Connectivity
Our site is fully redundant from the power, air-conditioning and fiber connectivity. CDC-01 has 5 T3 connections to the Internet, each capable of handing 45Mbits of traffic, and 2 OC-3; 2 OC-12. It also has 10 backup T1 connections used in case of emergency fiber cuts.

Uninterruptible power with UPS and backup generator
Every server is connected to a 3000W Compaq UPS device and our data center power is backed by a 245,000W Diesel-powered generator ensuring that even during the longest power outages your web server remains online.

Additional Pricing / Terms

Hosting Account Setup - One time charge
In order to setup the files and allocate space for your new hosting account we charge a one-time setup fee.

Some features may require design/setup/configuration charges
Though some features are made available with our hosting they still may require additional design, setup, and/or configuration in order to be fully usable. If it becomes necessary for E-Market Media to do these additions we will first provide an email quote upon request. Some features are readily usable or can be set up by the client if so desired.

Monthly Maintenance
Sometimes updating your site on a monthly basis is necessary to your needs. E-Market Media offers our clients the ability to make these changes without needing a personal understanding of HTML. This service includes up to 1 hour of tech time for changes to text, graphics, pricing, uploads, etc. Additional hours will be billed at the reduced rate of $75 per hour. Our clients will be notified in advance should more time be necessary. A minimum contract of three months is required to utilize this option.

Park Domain With A Hosted Account
If you own more than one domain name that ultimately leads to the same Web site then this option may be best for you. By parking any additional domain names under your main account you can immediately "mirror" your main account's Web site. This allows for instant updating when making changes to your main account's Web site without having to upload each individual domain's files. An important feature is that each unique domain name that is accessed will always appear in the user's browser even though the files are from the main account.

Hosting Billed Quarterly or Annually
All hosting accounts are billed by E-Market Media on a quarterly basis (every 3 months). As an option to all of our clients we offer a yearly payment plan which ultimately reduces the monthly cost.

Monthly Marketing / Maintenance Package
Similar to our monthly maintenance package above except we include a strategized marketing plan individually tailored to each client's needs. Every month we will not only make any necessary changes to your site but we will personally discuss with you the end user's statistical information such as number of visitors, how many pages they viewed, how they found your site, etc. We will further explain how these relate to your site's success and what changes can be made to improve your site's visibility and activity. Also included is a personalized strategy session to target customers to your Web site as well as implementation of some of these optimization strategies. Search engine understanding is a large part of a site's success and is included as part of this marketing strategy.

Personal SSL Certificate
Though our domain accounts have secure server capability, some client's may express a need for an individual certificate. E-Market Media offers these secure socket layer certificates to those clients.
